The tower can be produced from 5 to 15 metres in height, and the number of tiers and the shape of the crown — ball, star or lantern — are customisable. Assembly takes two to three days with a crane: the base tier is set, the upper tiers are stacked and bolted through flanged joints, the crown is lifted into place, and the starbursts are mounted on their arms at specified heights. All electrical connections are weatherproof plugs at each tier, fed from a central IP65 distribution box with fused loops, an earth-leakage breaker and a dusk sensor; the countdown controller is a standalone programmable unit with battery backup. We run a full countdown rehearsal at least 48 hours before the event. Weekly checks cover the tier joints, the starburst arms and the anchor bolts; the fabric is cleaned with a soft brush.
