LF-099
The LF-099 Carnival Float Lantern recreates the spectacle of a Mardi Gras parade float as a fixed, glowing centrepiece. The float body is modelled on a grand carnival carriage — a tiered platform with curved sides, ornamental scrolls and a deep skirt of LED-lit fringe — rolling on glowing wheels that suggest motion even when parked. Rising from the platform is a towering spray of feather plumes in purple, gold, green and red, each feather a separate illuminated panel, crowned by a large carnival mask with glowing eyes. The whole composition bursts with colour and movement, capturing the energy of a parade in mid-celebration. Weatherproof to IP65 and rated for 50,000 hours, this illuminated figures showpiece anchors carnival festivals, Mardi Gras events and street celebrations, and its scale and colour make it impossible to miss from any distance.

The float can be produced from 6 to 15 metres in length, and the colour palette can follow classic Mardi Gras purple, gold and green, or any event scheme. The feather spray can be a full fan, a towering plume or a cascading canopy, and the mask can be a classic domino mask, a full face or a custom design. The wheels can be static, slowly rotating or fitted with glowing hub effects, and the skirt can be replaced with light fringe, lantern strings or a sponsor banner panel. LED programs include steady multicolour glow, a chasing sequence around the float, or a slow colour cycle across the feathers. Optional features include a sound module with parade music, a mist base, a rotating mask spotlight, and a sponsor plaque on the front. The float ships in platform, wheel, feather-spray and mask modules for efficient transport.
This float lantern suits carnival festivals, Mardi Gras celebrations, street parades' staging areas, theme parks' parade zones, cultural carnivals and New Year street parties. It works as the grand finale of a parade route or as a stationary showpiece at festival entrances, and its stage-like platform can host performers, DJs or prize announcements. Retail districts use it to anchor carnival-season promotions and photo experiences.
Our team ships and installs this piece worldwide, and every order includes engineering drawings, a certified installation plan and on-site technical supervision. As a custom lanterns specialist from Zigong — the home of Chinese lantern art — we have supplied giant lanterns for sale to theme parks, zoos, shopping malls, city squares and cultural festivals across more than 40 countries since 2002.
A float of this scale requires a level area of about 12 m × 5 m with anchor points set to our template. Assembly takes three to four days with a crane: the platform and wheel assemblies are set on their footings, the tiers and skirt are erected, then the feather spray is lifted and secured, and the mask is mounted last. All electrical connections are weatherproof plugs at each module, fed from a central IP65 distribution box with fused loops per section, an earth-leakage breaker and a dusk sensor. We run a 48-hour burn-in test of the chasing sequence before opening. Weekly checks cover the feather-spray braces, the platform fixings and the anchor points; the fabric is cleaned with a soft brush. The feather panels are the most exposed elements and are inspected after high-wind days; a spare feather kit is supplied. At season's end the float is de-rigged in reverse order, with the feather spray and mask stored in cradles and the platform modules crated for reuse.
The Carnival Float Lantern delivers the excitement of a live parade in a permanent, reliable form, making it the showpiece of carnival programming and a powerful draw for street festivals. Its stage-like platform supports live performance and prize events, adding revenue beyond the visual display, and its spectacular colour generates the most shared images of any carnival installation. Educationally, it introduces the traditions of carnival, mask-making and parade design, which schools and cultural programmes can build workshops around. Commercially, the modular float can be re-themed with new feather colours and masks each year, and its platform can be sponsored, protecting the investment across many seasons of street festivals.
