LF-076
The LF-076 Temple Gate Lantern recreates the grand entrance archway of a traditional Chinese temple or palace as a fully illuminated festival sculpture. Its three-tier flying-eave roof, upturned cornices and layered brackets are hand-shaped over a welded steel skeleton and finished with durable silk-effect fabric, so every architectural detail reads clearly both by day and after dark. Warm white and gold LED strips hidden inside the structure wash the whole gate in a deep red and gold glow, while strings of small hanging lanterns along both pillars add movement and festivity. The central plaque panel is supplied as a clean, unlit or softly lit surface that can be finished with your event name or left plain. Built to IP65 weatherproofing and rated for more than 50,000 hours of continuous use, this lantern is engineered to stand outdoors for entire festival seasons. As a classic statement of Chinese festive architecture, the Temple Gate Lantern works equally well as a ticket gate, a photo backdrop, or the signature landmark of a spring lantern festival entrance.

Every Temple Gate Lantern is made to order. The most common option is entrance scale: widths range from a compact 3-metre garden gate to a 12-metre ceremonial arch for main festival entrances. You can choose the number of roof tiers, the depth of the eaves and the style of the bracket decoration to match a Tang, Ming or Qing architectural mood. The plaque area can be engraved with your event name, sponsor logo or a welcome message in any language, using either illuminated lettering or a plain glowing panel. LED colour temperature and animation are fully programmable — steady warm white, chasing gold, slow breathing red or a custom sequence that syncs with the rest of the display. Sound integration, such as soft temple-bell effects at the entrance, can be added as an optional control module, and the whole structure can be supplied in knockdown modules for container shipping.
This lantern is a natural centrepiece for spring lantern festival entrances, Chinese New Year fairs, zoo lights events, cultural theme parks, temple fair grounds, museum forecourts and shopping-mall atriums. It also appears at corporate anniversary displays and city-centre pedestrian streets where a grand, welcoming landmark is needed. Because it is modular, the same gate can be re-used season after season at different venues.
Our team ships and installs this piece worldwide, and every order includes engineering drawings, a certified installation plan and on-site technical supervision. As a custom lanterns specialist from Zigong — the home of Chinese lantern art — we have supplied giant lanterns for sale to theme parks, zoos, shopping malls, city squares and cultural festivals across more than 40 countries since 2002.
Site preparation begins with a level, compacted foundation capable of bearing the structure's weight plus wind loading; for the standard 8-metre version we recommend a reinforced concrete pad of at least 4.5 m × 2.5 m. Anchor plates are set during foundation work so that the modular steel frame can be bolted down without drilling. Assembly is carried out by our installation crew using a small crane or scaffold towers; the gate is shipped in five to seven sub-assemblies, each fitting inside a standard 40-foot container. Roof sections are joined with weatherproof flanges, and all fabric panels are tensioned over the frame so they stay taut in wind. Electrical connection requires a certified IP65 distribution box fed by a 110V, 220V or 240V supply; each lighting loop is individually fused and the whole unit is earthed to local code. Before the opening night we run a 24-hour burn-in test, checking colour consistency, dimming response and the timer that switches the display on at dusk. During the event, a daily visual inspection of the plaque, eaves and anchor bolts, plus a weekly cleaning of fabric panels with a soft brush and mild detergent, keeps the gate looking freshly installed. At the end of the season the gate is de-rigged in reverse order, the LED modules are packed in foam, and the steel frame is hot-dip-galvanised for storage and reuse. Spare LED strips and control cards are kept on site so that any failed segment can be swapped in under an hour.
Commercially, the Temple Gate Lantern pays for itself as the highest-photographed object at any event: entrance gates appear in nearly every visitor photo, extending the reach of your festival across social media for weeks. It creates a clear wayfinding landmark, smooths crowd flow at ticketing points and gives sponsors a premium branding position on the plaque. Educationally, it introduces audiences to one of the most recognisable forms of Chinese architecture — the paifang — and explains the symbolism of red for good fortune and gold for prosperity, making it a favourite teaching moment in school tours and cultural-exchange programmes. Museums and cultural centres regularly commission this piece to anchor heritage-themed light shows, and because it is fully re-usable, the long-term cost per event falls sharply after the first season.
